Here is a quick video showing how I prep the Popper Heads in advance and paint them before tying the Fly. I do this so that the resin is bonded to the hook shank and covers the entire popper which will protect the paint job.
Materials:
Hook: Ahrex hook TP615 size 2/0
Thread: Semperfli Waxed thread 6/0 red
Popper: Flymen Double barrel popper head White
Markers: Copic Markers
Resin/Glue: Loctite Gel and Raid Zap Flex
Templet: Flyskinz templets.
