Its no secret that purple is the hottest color for fly tyers out there in recent years. When Upavon released the bionic foam blocks and purple was one of them, I knew it would be a must have. Using the Gunville cutters you can make the cylinders for the Bionic ant and other fly patterns out there to any size you want and it comes in a bunch of colors.
Its also not a secret that the Bionic Ant fly pattern by Lance Egan, simply catches fish. I have used it in the colors of brown and black and had record days on the water and it lasts PERIOD. Its a really quick tie and when treated with floatant it should last you a long time unless you are prone to losing flies like me. Ive caught a ton of record size branches as well with this fly trying to get it to land for the trout laying right underneath that overhanging limb. Luckily its a quick tie.
Tie some up and if you like making your own stuff more than others, purchase the gunville cutter assortment pack so you can make your own foam cylinders for any fly you want.
